Who I am:
- I was born in Placentia, Newfoundland, Canada on May 26, 1969. I lived in Stephenville, NF until I was six.
We then moved to Grand Falls, NF until I was sixteen. We then moved to Placentia, NF where I finished High School.
I lived there on and off until February 1996 when I left Newfoundland for Ontario in Search of solid employment.
I received my Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) on January 10,1996, and my Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) on
September 15, 1995. My Novell studies were done at Network Education Center in Tampa, FL where I suffered through
4 months in the sun & surf. I have graduated from a three year Computer Studies MIS Co-operative Education
program at Cabot Institute of Applied Arts and Technology in St. John's, Newfoundland on June 18,1992.
What I do:
- IS Guy / GRF Consulting came into existance March 1997. I am GRF Consulting,
I am Guy R. Fillatre, CNE. As the Sole Proprietor of GRF Consulting, I do
all levels of computer support & consulting on a evening & weekend
basis. This web-site is mostly for the enjoyment of friends and family, and
is maintained as a hobby.

- I beleive that I have come as close to a full circle in my computing career
as anyone can come in 13 years. In 1992 I graduated from the Cabot Institute
of Applied Arts and Technology (now known as College
of the North Atlantic) with a diplima in Computer Studies MIS. Almost
10 years later, In December 2001, I returned to Newfoundland to work for the
College of the North Atlantic as a Wide Area Network Adminisrator.

- I have spent almost six years living and working in the Toronto, Ontario
before returning to Newfoundland. Some of the companies that I have worked
for/with during that time are: Evron Computer
Systems ; networkMCI Conferencing ;
Bell Canada ; Darome
Teleconferencing. I thank each of these companies for the knowledge and
experience that I gained, for without this I could never have returned to
Newfoundland.

What I like to do:
- Some of my hobbies are: Golf , motorcycle riding, playing pool, hunting,
fishing listening to music, Surfing the Net, Watching hockey and baseball,
and working on cars.
