The Move back to Newfoundland

On November 1, 2001 I accepted a position as Wide Area Network
Administrator at the College of the North Atlantic, in St. John's, Newfoundland.
So, the following day we put our house up for sale, and started packing.
On the morning of November 25, 2001 we left our friends and
family behind in Brampton, and headed down the 401.

We had a 24' Uhaul load from floor to ceiling, from front to
back. We couldn't have fit a mouse in, if we tried. We had Dakota in the cab,
sitting between us, and the cats were in the car.
Day 1: At the end of the first day, I had driven for almost
15 hours to Edmundston, NB, and made 2 trips around Montreal along the way...I
just love driving through that city. It rained for about 12 hours of the drive.
Day 2: We left Edmunston, after 5 hours sleep, early to ensure
we had plenty of time to make it to North Sydney, NS. Luckily, it was a fairly
un eventful 12 hours. We boarded the ferry at about 10:00 that night, by 11:00
we were asleep. It rained for about 9 hours of the drive.

Day 3: We left Port aux Basques, NF early on Tuesday morning,
and made the 10 trek across Newfoundland to the house we are renting in Paradise,
NF (just west of St. John's). We just unpacked the bare essentials, and the
animals, the first night. Guess what, it didn't rain.
Day 4: We awoke this morning to snow! We unpacked the Truck,
and started getting settled. By the end of the day everything was covered
in snow.

In early January we purchased our new home which we will move
into in mid-March. The house is a 3 Bedroom bungalow with a finished basement
and detached garage. The house is in Torbay, NF and sits on a 3/4 acre lot
over looking Torbay.

Now that we are getting settled away in Newfoundland, keep
